On July 13, 1989, Nirvana played a show at Maxwell's in Hoboken. They had just released Bleach a month earlier. It was pre-Nevermind, before they blew up to world wide status. It was before Dave Grohl, when they had Chad Channing on drums and Jason Everman on guitar. Hoboken & Sons pays tribute to the band and their appearance for the first time at the storied Hoboken institution with the Polly Short-Sleeve Men's T-Shirt.
